Mr. Maqsood A. Butt is a senior Chartered Accountant. Since qualifying from EY Ford Rhodes in 1971 he had been holding top positions in financial management, administration and corporate affairs of large companies including as Chairman of Aruj Industries Ltd since 1991, which is a Public Limited Company listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange in 1996.

Mr. Maqsood A. Butt is currently researching his upcoming book, titled "Pakistan in 2050®”, in which he plans to critically but objectively analyses the trajectory of our nation under the various governments of the past 75 years Mr. Butt plans to highlight the different challenges Pakistan faces as regards to Population, Water, Economy, Natural Resources, Agrarian Management, Global Integration, Climate, Technology, Cultural and Social Integration with the World etc. Not all gloom and doom; he plans to show the silver lining of all the above topics provided pragmatic policies are not only formulated but also executed in letter and spirit.

Aruj Industries LTD. (AIL) is Public Limited Company incorporated in 1991 and listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange since 1995.

AIL is a pioneer in Pakistan in field of woven fusible interlining with around 700 employees. It is producing and processing fabric for bottom wear and upper wear. AIL is also producing denim and no- denim apparels and its entire production is exported.

AIL is member of FPCCI and was awarded trophy for BEST EEXPORT PERFORMANCE in 2003.

We have been exporting our products to Poland, Germany, Spain, UK, Bangladesh, Egypt & Sri Lanka.

Aruj foundation was registered in 2007 and is the operating arm of the philanthropic activities of the associated companies. It is run by grants from the group companies and donations by friends and associates.

Aruj Construction (Pvt) Ltd. was incorporated in 1991 for multi-purpose businesses including construction. However, with boom in economic activities, we are now concentrating on construction business.

We currently are doing construction jobs in partnership with similar companies where we contribute financially and do the Financial Management and HR handling.

As a group, with couple of dedicated entrepreneurs of construction business, we have embarked to enter international market starting with small projects to gain in depth knowledge and experience in Europe where the margins are much better than Middle East.

Aruj Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in 1986 as a consultancy and multi-functional company focusing on projects set-up including feasibility study, arranging project financing, infrastructure development, project implementation, arranging working capital finance from financial institutions, private funding from HNWI and HR Resource placements locally and abroad.

We are also in advance stage of negotiation to set up IT based business in Poland where we have already incorporated a LLC Company.

AEL is also assisting Pakistani students who wish to peruse higher education abroad in universities of international repute. AEL is also assisting Pakistani individuals for studying and shifting to Canada which has targeted to invite over 1.300 Million educated persons from around the World.

CEDEFOP Skill Forecast, a research for 27 EU Countries by European Centre for Development of Vocational Training, headquarter in Thessaloniki, Greece which has calculated that 27 EU Countries need 91.868 Million jobs in 10 years to 2030. That means 9.186 Million jobs every year.

Over 100,000 graduate and master degree holder engineers are unemployed in Pakistan. India fully utilized H-1-B Visa scheme of USA by getting jobs to 267,000 Indians nationals against only 1,600 from Pakistan. We are holding seminar, in coordination with US Lawyer aided by a Pakistani Engineers who is settled in USA for 22 years.

Aruj TV is infotainment channel which is aired on satellite and can be viewed throughout the world. Its programs were focusing on family entertainment, movies, dramas, talk shows and news. After changing management, the channel has changed its genres and is now more towards regional language.

CHIEF EDITOR / PUBLISHER- ARUJ DAILY NEWS PAPER URDU AND ENGLISH

This is the daily newspaper in Urdu language being published since 14 August 2013 and focus on business, international relations and political news.

We are also starting publications of an English language newspaper in 60-90 days under the same name, which shall focus on international relations, economy and diplomatic matters.

As the advertisement environment is swiftly changing, becoming intricate and electronic, your brand message is simultaneously reaching the consumers’ bed room on 24/7 basis. These advertisements could be in any from like TV, radio, cable network, newspaper, magazines, billboard, hand-bill, leaflets, unsolicited mails, brochures, catalogs, company’s website, banner ads etc. This, on the one hand has increased the consumers choice but has also rendered is more amenable to a message which lakes integrity.

Center for research no Media Advertisements (CROMA) has been incorporated as a non-governmental organization to research, analyze and promote the art and craft of advertising with integrity, honesty, truthfulness and keeping in view our moral values and cultural parameters. Marketers must hold documentary evidence to prove all claims, whether direct or implied that are capable of objective substantiation and that no marketing communication should mislead or be likely to mislead by inaccuracy, ambiguity, exaggeration, omission or otherwise. The adverse cost of such misleading advertisements is unquantifiable but enormous.

CHAIRMEN- ALL PAKISTAN TEXTILE PROCESSING MILLS ASSOCIATION (2015-16)

APTPMA is Govt licensed Trade Association of around 750 mills who specialize in processing, dyeing, finishing and garment business in textile sector. The member-mills play a significant role in textile sector of local and export, due to their expertise in processing the fabric since no fabric without its being processed can be used anywhere, hence the importance of this Association.

MEMBER- TAX REFORMS CIMMISSION, FBR

The government had formed a Tax Reform Commission in 2015 to study the whole taxation system and suggest ways and means to implement it to enhance Ease of Doing Business. The report was finalized and submitted to the Commission to the Federal Board of Revenue in May,2015.

I was nominated by Government of Pakistan as Director of Gujranwala Electric Power Co. Ltd for 3 years, 2013-2015.

GEPCO purchases and distributes the electricity in Gujranwala division. I was also Chairman, Audit and Finance Committee of GEPCO for 3 years.

I was executive committee member for 2 years (2014-15) and was also appointed as Chairman Finance and Taxation Committee of LCCI.
